Situated in the park of an authentic XVIIIth century castle (see picture) and of a XVIth century castle (see picture below) in Charente, our holiday house is a real relaxing haven for those who love old stones, nature and quietness.

The property contains 3 houses apart from each other towering over the valley, all of them have generous rooms private garden, parking and fully equiped with TV (with most english channels), DVD, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, outside equipment, BBQ....

Each house has it's privacy an a wonderfull overview of the valley.   The main park of the chateau has many centennial trees woodlands.

The domain allow your children to have fun in absolute freedom and security.

In the castle park lies a very big heated swimming pool (11 m X 14 m), of various depth, where adults and children can relax for long hours.  The pool is surrounded by a children attraction park  containing sand vat, swing, wood house, games.... 

A few meters away from the long wall surrounding the property lies a splendid body of water, abiding of several hectares. It represents a real pleasure to fishers and bird lovers (ducks, herons, birds of prey...) who are looking for a preserved environment.

Just after the beautiful long alley bordering a 8 hectare-wide pond, one can find the scenic village of  Cherves-Chatelars.  Sportsmen will be happy to find there 2 tennis courts (1 € per session!), while gourmands will discover an authentic Charentais restaurant where one can taste the real Charente food for 10 €.  The village boasts a bakery proposing breads and crunchy "croissants".  Extended food shopping can be done in the  Chasseneuil-sur-Bonnieure supermarkets, only 5 miles away.
